About Siobhan Sears
I grew up in the small seaside town of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I discovered yoga at age 18, when I was working in a school for troubled children and found that practicing yoga helped me de-stress and face each day more cheerfully and clearly. Discovering the therapeutic effects of yoga changed my life forever and lead me to an exploration of traditional Eastern healing practices. After travelling in India, Thailand, and Nepal to immerse myself in yoga, Thai Massage, and meditation, I decided to pursue these disciplines as a career.
I moved to the West Coast in 2006 for the weather and lifestyle. I am a graduate of Pacific Rim College‘s 2-year Eastern Therapies & Bodywork program. Having received a lot of benefit from a healthy, holistic lifestyle it is my passion to share this with others to help empower them to improve their own vitality. This education has given me practical tools to bring the benefits of Eastern healing practices to others.
In addition to my bodywork practice, I serve at Be Love, an organic vegan/vegetarian restaurant. I am also a devoted practitioner and teacher of Ashtanga yoga in the lineage of Shri K. Patthabi Jois. I feel very fortunate to have found a life that aligns with my core values and dreams.
